As we step into 2025, the Kiba Built team is hitting the ground running with exciting progress and plenty of plans on the horizon. We’ve already handed over our first home of the year in January, and with three more homes set to be handed over by the end of the first quarter, it’s clear that 2025 is shaping up to be another great year for us and our clients.
Despite the rain, our hardworking team has made impressive progress on several new builds. We’ve already got roofs on, frames up, and slabs down—a true testament to the dedication and skill of everyone involved. Even in challenging weather conditions, we’re managing to stay on track and deliver results.
Our build slots for this financial year are filling up quickly. As builders, we work months in advance, and it’s no surprise that we’re already at capacity for high set homes. While we do offer a few high set builds each year, we cap these numbers to maintain quality and focus. At this stage, all high set slots for this financial year are fully booked, with new openings available from July 2025.
We also take on a limited number of fully custom, complex homes, and these slots have already been filled for this financial year as well.
The good news? We still have openings for low set homes—a style we always recommend to clients looking for an efficient, cost-effective build. With more low set projects in our pipeline, we’re helping more families achieve their dream home with a streamlined, practical design.
One of the most important decisions when building a home is choosing between a low set or high set design. Both styles have their place, but at Kiba Built, we find that low set homes are the smarter choice for most of our clients—especially with construction costs on the rise.
Here’s a quick comparison:
✔ Elevated design, often with a raised main living area
✔ Additional storage or garage space underneath
✔ Improved airflow and ventilation, especially in humid climates
✖ Higher construction costs due to extra structural requirements
✖ Stairs can make access difficult, particularly for young children and elderly residents✖ More maintenance required for the elevated structure
✔ Single-storey design with all living spaces on one level
✔ Easier access—great for families, retirees, and those with mobility concerns
✔ Faster, more cost-effective construction compared to high set homes
✔ Lower maintenance and upkeep over time✖ Requires more land space compared to high set homes on small blocks
While both options have their benefits, low set homes offer greater affordability and practicality, making them the preferred choice for most homeowners. They are easier to build, more accessible, and require less maintenance—saving clients both time and money in the long run.
That’s why at Kiba Built, we continue to encourage low set homes as the best value option for new builds.
As we continue to grow, we’re excited to share that we’re in the later stages of planning for our newest display home in Lilywood Landings. With construction set to begin soon, this display will showcase the Kiba Built difference—quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and a home built to stand the test of time.
We’re looking forward to unveiling this new space and giving our clients the opportunity to walk through a Kiba home in person. More details will be shared in the coming months, so stay tuned!
We want to take a moment to thank all our clients, partners, and supporters for being part of our journey. The trust and enthusiasm we receive from homeowners fuel our passion for what we do.
With 2025 already off to a strong start, we’re looking forward to continuing to build beautiful, functional, and affordable homes for families across Queensland.
If you’re considering building with us this year, now’s the time to get in touch—before the last low set slots are filled!
